Funky Rat is an independent brand established in 2023 by two college students with a passion for sustainability and vintage clothing. Now, the founders work full time on the company.
The brand focuses on creating unisex clothing that aims to create a community around mindful consumption & sustainability.
Each piece is created with the intent to laugh, smile, and feel that whatever you wear, should represent you.
By pairing vintage clothing with our cool and fun designs we aim to create pieces that are unique, creative, and sustainable.
Through wearing our clothing you are joining the fight to not only promote fashion sustainability but also to encourage a clean earth for all.
We create clothing that is designed to be worn by any gender, as we prioritize comfort, fit, and sizing for all. Personal style should not EVER be confined by societal expectations.

Sustainability
All of our new clothing is sustainable and ethically made from manufacturers in the United States. We choose to work with these companies because of the geographical proximity, quality, and ethical practices they use to ensure each employee is paid a living wage. All other used vintage pieces are 100% thrifted items. Each piece is washed, renewed, and made to look like a new piece while also maintaining the comfort and style of vintage clothing.
At Funky Rat, sustainability is one of our main goals. We believe that through our clothing we can encourage others to shop sustainability rather than contributing to the countless fast fashion brands destroying our planet. Because we are small and still in the beginning stages of our brand we aren’t at the point in which we believe we are completely sustainable. But through time, experience, and expansion, we are working towards being as earth friendly🌎 as we can possibly be.
