Funky Rat is an independent outdoor brand, established in 2023 out of a love for creativity, vintage clothing, and fashion sustainability.
What started as a silly experiment in college with zero experience turned into a real brand, built on ethical clothing that carries a purpose and treats every piece as a creative project.
The brand is for the grass touchers and the outdoor lovers, and from a simple belief that every piece should be a reflection of how our earth 🌎 deserves to be treated.
Founder
Amanda Membrado is a Los Angeles based creative with a passion for graphic design, creative expression, and a true love for traveling and nature. She studied entrepreneurship in undergrad and developed a strong passion for sustainability, specifically in finding a purpose for all the waste in the world by up-cycling. Through methods like embroidery, screen printing, heat pressing, and sewing, her creative work is a reflection of those passions, and she's driven to create clothing that not only looks cool but has a purpose behind it.
